MESSAGE FROM GENERAL SECRETARY CBOU

HYDERABAD
29TH NOVEMBER 2014.

Through this letter of mine, I desire to share with  you all the most painful decision I have ever taken in my career.

For quite some time, a strong feeling has been lurching me that I am not able to devote much time to my family.  I have finally decided to bid adieu to my august Institution i.e. Central bank of India, which consequentially and sadly relieves me from organizational responsibilities also.

Leaving alone the Institutional positions I held during the tenure, the positions I held in the trade union organizations viz. CBOU, AICBOA, AIBOA gave me overwhelming satisfaction of being of some utility and service to the members / employees irrespective of their caste and creed.

My happiness knew no bounds when I realize that the organizations have  provided me suitable role in officers’ trade union movement in Central Bank.

At a time when rival unions treated their members as a tools in their numbers game, my organizations have taught us to give the employees and officers the much deserved respect and pride, by attending to their grievances with undeterred commitment.  It gives me immense pride and satisfaction to be part of this unending wisdom of trade union movement.

While the pain of parting is intractable, I would like to cajole myself by replenishing the nostalgic memories of the umpteen number of opportunities provided by the Officer trade union movement to enable me to serve the officer community better and better.

As General secretary of CBOU I was extremely fortunate to have opportunity to work with and gain exposure from multi-faceted personalities in CBOU  Com. D.Bapanna, Com JC Reddy, my beloved President Com.Syam Babu  and many senior leaders who are known for their exemplary characteristics of a trade union leaders.

I am also thankful to all the leaders under whose guidance I have learnt the undeterred commitment and adept skills of handling of men, matters and, of course, management, through which we could steer CBOU through troubled times and made it the majority union for Officers’ movement in Central Bank of India.

The embracing and eternal support  extended by CBIEA under the able guidance and leadership of Com B S Rambabu  in discharging my organizational responsibilities generally and during turbulent periods in particular have always given me great solace and healing touch. The support given by Com. Udayabaskar and Com Y.Srinivas rao are worth mentioning and unforgettable.

On this occasion, I would like to specially thank many comrades including Com.PSPR Phanikumar,Com.P.V.Ramakrishna,Com.V.Ramesh,Com.ABVL.Narasimham, Com.Shafi .Com.Kareem, Com.Gagarin, Senior Comrade Venkateswarlu,my collegues representating in all india organization Com.Uma Janaki and Com.Indubala, other Office bearers  past and present who were with me in good and troubled times.

I am highly privileged to thank all the comrades of CBOU & CBIEA who have out in their untiring & strenuous efforts to uphold the traditions of  TWIN BANNERS and to keep aloft the flag of AIBEA & AIBOA.

On this piquant situation, I would like to assure that my heart and soul will always be with trade union movement spearheaded by AIBEA and AIBOA.

I pray the almighty to give strength, time and opportunity to be  part of any trade union movement and activities, if an occasion so arises.

With Kind Regards
Comredely Your’s

P.VENUGOPAL RAO
General secretary.CBOU.
